Google Play only lets a new app go public after a group of testers has kept it installed for 14 days in a row. That is where you come in. It takes about five minutes to set up, and after that just use the app like you normally would.
How to join
- Join the tester group with the Google account you use on your Android phone.
Join the tester group - Become a tester on Google Play. Open this link, sign in with the
same Google account, and tap Become a tester.
Become a tester - Install Pump from the Play Store: the page above links to it once you have joined. It can take a few minutes after joining before the Play Store shows the app.
Several Google accounts on your phone? The Play Store must be using the account you joined with. Tap your profile picture in the Play Store to switch. If Play says the app is not available, this is almost always the reason.
What to try
Nothing is mandatory, and normal use is the most useful test. But if you want a plan:
- Week 1: create your account, pick a program or build a workout, and log a few sessions. Log what you eat for a couple of days.
- Week 2: from the Monday after your first full week, a Weekly Report should appear on the Home screen, and as a notification if notifications are on. Tell us if it doesn't.
- Any time: reminders, water tracking, the monthly check-in, backup export, switching units.
Using Pump in another language?
Pump is available in English, Deutsch, Español, Français and Türkçe (Profile → Settings → Language). The non-English text has not been checked by native speakers yet, so if anything sounds odd, unnatural or just wrong, we really want to know. A screenshot is perfect.
Premium
You don't need Premium to help, but you're welcome to try it. Testers are set up for free test purchases: Google's payment sheet shows a test card, the subscription renews every few minutes, and it ends on its own.
Before you tap Subscribe, check the payment sheet. If it shows your real card or payment method instead of a test card, don't continue. Tell us, and we'll add your account to the test list so it works for free.
Sending feedback
Bugs, confusing screens, missing features, things you liked: all of it helps.
Prefer email? Write to support@pumphq.app. For a bug, it helps to include your phone model, the app language, and what you tapped just before it happened.
Leaving the test
You can leave any time from the same Play link. To delete your Pump account and data, see Deleting your account.
